“Monarch”

I had just finished reading one of those great books about Henry VIII England so I was really in the mood for knots and crowns. In this design you can see the crown which was mirrored with another crown; this reflected the struggle the monarchs were constantly threatened by to hold their positions on the throne. The vibrant purple head-dresses, above the crowns and the two others on the sides, represent the women that came and went and their struggles to just stay alive in those days. The ladies that were so close to the power in England, they really had to maneuver the balancing act just to stay alive! The beautiful golden ring in the middle symbolized the large brass ring of power that attracted all of them. They were all linked together by those twists and turns and the knots of fate!
