“Jesus is the Key”
A wonderful cross with Celtic knots throughout and the symbol in the center tells the story. The center is in the shape of a key hole. The secret is that…..Jesus is the key to life here and now and in the hereafter. This is probably one of the more complex designs that I have done, with the two large panels of knotwork on each side of the cross are painted with burgundy reds and russet oranges and yellows against the black background. The cross itself is bordered with knotwork that drops down below to make the complex hearts and diamond shaped knots for the lower border. The half circle with the knotwork inside is definitely from the Book of Kells. I loved this-my favorite part!
